DSTATS 7.0 Workstation

• DSTATS (Digital Systems Test and Training Simulator) workstation is a Pentium PC (minimum configuration: 550 MHZ CPU, removable 20 GB HD, 128 MB RAM, dual parallel card, CD-ROM, floppy disk drive, 15" SVGA monitor, and mouse). Hard drive partitioned to run SCO-UNIX or LINUX OS plus Windows.
  
  
• 2-channel Programmable Communications Controller (PCC) tactical modem with 2 parallel cables, 2 tactical radio cables, and 3 telephone cables. (PCC may be purchased with 3 or 4 channels for an additional cost.)
  
  
• DSTATS software that interoperates with the Fire Support tactical systems software version currently fielded when the DSTATS system is purchased (e.g., Version 11, 7, 8, or 9).
  
  
• DSTATS software upgrades. An upgraded DSTATS software version will be provided if a new software version for the Fire Support tactical systems is fielded within one year of the purchase of a new DSTATS system (e.g., Version 7, 8, or 9).
  
  
• Three-day New Equipment Training (NET) course conducted on-site when new system is delivered. CONUS only.
  
  
• DSTATS Help Desk. A 1-800 (toll-free) help desk for DSTATS users to obtain operational support or report hardware or software problems. The help desk will be operational 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. Operational support includes, but is not limited to, answering questions regarding the development of DSTATS scenarios, messages, and databases.
  
  
• One year hardware warranty. Includes repair or replacement of DSTATS PC, monitor, cables, and PCC. Free return shipping of replacement or repaired parts.
  
  
• One year software warranty. Includes reloading DSTATS software on HD and software updates to the current version of DSTATS software. These updates shall include, but not be limited to, fixes to the DSTATS software or software changes required for the DSTATS software to maintain compatibility with the currently fielded Fire Support tactical systems software.

DSTATS 3.0 Workstation Hardware Upgrade

• Customers with DSTATS 3.0 Workstations may require a hardware upgrade to run upgraded DSTATS software versions (e.g., Version 7.0). (A DSTATS 3.0 Workstation is a DSTATS with an internal modem called the Signal Master.) Before installing software upgrades, contact Techrizon to determine if a hardware upgrade is required.
  
  
• DSTATS 3.0 Workstation hardware upgrade is an integrated package designed to specifically support training within the fire support environment. It includes a Pentium PC, color monitor, 104-key keyboard, and PS2 mouse. PC’s minimum configuration is 400 MHZ CPU, 40 GB HD, and 128 MB RAM. PC motherboard and chip set conform to the special requirements of the Signal Master modem. PC will also be configured to support an external modem called the Programmable Communications Controller (PCC). (PCC with 2, 3, or 4 channels may be purchased separately through Techrizon GSA Schedule, part numbers 30701 through 30718). Additional PC components include removable hard drive, CD ROM drive, floppy disk drive, sound card, and AGP video card with on board video memory. Color monitor will support enhanced graphics and superior resolution (minimum configuration: 15” screen and .28MM resolution).
  
• Upon receipt, Signal Master modem removed from old DSTATS 3.0 Workstation will be installed in new DSTATS Workstation.
  
  
• Linux OS and latest version of DSTATS software will be installed on removable hard drive. Software will be configured for hardware devices including Signal Master modem. If desired, customer’s DSTATS data files created under SCO Unix will be transferred to a SCO-Unix partition on new hard drive. (Requires receipt of existing hard drive with licensed copy of SCO Unix. After files are transferred, SCO Unix will be deleted from old hard drive.)
  
  
• Upgraded DSTATS workstation and software will be tested prior to shipping to confirm system is configured correctly and is operational.

DSTATS PCC

• The Programmable Communications Controller (PCC) is a peripheral device that expands DSTATS communications capabilities.
  
  
• The PCC with DSTATS software enables DSTATS to communicate with fielded fire support tactical computer systems using MIL STD 188-220 protocol or TACFIRE protocol, CDP, NRZ, or FSK modulation, and data transfer rates up to 32K bps.
  
  
• The PCC provides connections for up to four tactical radio, wireline, or telephone channels in any combination.
  
  
• The PCC consists of a custom-designed metal box with internal power supply, 4 PCC modem card slots, and 2 to 4 PCC modem cards. Each PCC modem card provides 1-channel communications. PCC must be purchased with a minimum of two cards.
  
  
• Additional components include 1 tactical radio cable, 3 telephone cables, and 1 parallel cable for each card.
  
  
• The DSTATS workstation must be shipped to Techrizon, LLC at customer's expense to enable Techrizon to make hardware and software upgrades required for the PCC to operate with DSTATS. Upgraded DSTATS and new PCC will be shipped back to customer's location at Techrizon, LLC's expense.
  
  
• Initial purchase of a PCC with 2, 3, or 4 channels includes a one-year warranty.

DSTATS Wire Line Connection Box

• Available for DSTATS workstations with Signal Master Communications Modem.
  
  
• Peripheral component for establishing wire line communications for two channels between DSTATS and tactical systems.
